Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced Operating Room RN with trauma and general OR experience, BLS certification, and a MO or compact RN license.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

• Work in the Operating Room of a hospital setting
• Typical patient ratio is 1:2
• Evening shift, 5x8 hours per week (14:30–23:00)
• Requires participation in 9-12 on-call shifts per 6-week period, including possible weekend shifts
• Floating between departments, units, and facilities may be required within scope of practice
• Epic EMR is used, with training modules required before start
• Block scheduling is not accommodated
• Role requires the ability to handle both general OR and trauma cases
• Pre-employment drug screening and lab work must be completed within 48-72 hours of signing
• Pre-start orientation includes required online modules and equipment training (Epic, infusion pump, glucometer), to be completed prior to start
• Maximum of 7 days of requested time off (RTO) allowed
• First-time travelers are welcome to apply
• Prior travel assignments within the same health system require an 18-month gap with a 3-month break in service
• No travel partners are accepted for this assignment
• Scrub and dress code requirements will be provided during orientation
• Holiday coverage may be required as scheduled

• Active MO or compact RN license; must also possess both Kansas and Missouri or compact license for floating
• Current BLS certification required
• 2 years of recent specialty experience in the operating room, including general OR and trauma cases
• At least 1 year of in-specialty experience within the past 12 months with no employment gap greater than 90 days in the past year
• Pending license is accepted
• Submission of 2 professional references from the last year, one of which must be from a supervisor-level or above
• Home address must be at least 75 miles from the facility; local candidates not accepted
