Now Hiring: Sommelier for a Modern Greek Restaurant in Venice!

We are a full-service Greek restaurant located on Abbot Kinney Blvd in Venice, Los Angeles — Alisa, Wine & Friends — and we’re looking for a passionate, knowledgeable, and professional Sommelier to join our team full-time.
This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a wine-driven environment where hospitality, teamwork, and genuine connection with guests come first.

Our restaurant offers traditional Greek cuisine with a California flair, paired with a curated wine list featuring both Greek and international selections.

Responsibilities:

• Curate, manage, and maintain the restaurant’s wine program
• Assist guests in selecting wines that complement their meals and preferences
• Conduct staff trainings and tastings to ensure strong wine knowledge across the team
• Collaborate with the chef and management to design thoughtful pairings for the menu
• Monitor wine inventory, cost control, and vendor relationships
• Maintain a professional presence on the floor, supporting service when needed
• Lead by example with warm, approachable, and educational guest interactions

Qualifications:

• Proven experience as a Sommelier or in advanced wine service
• Strong knowledge of Greek and international wines
• Certification from a recognized wine program (CMS, WSET, or equivalent) is a plus
• Excellent communication, leadership, and interpersonal skills
• Attention to detail and a passion for hospitality
• Availability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays
