Key Responsibilities
Prepare individual federal and state tax returns accurately for clients of Financial Foundations.
Collect and analyze client financial records and documentation.
Enter data into UltraTax (or comparable tax software) and review for accuracy.
Identify deductions, credits, and ensure compliance with tax laws for clients.
Interact professionally with clients via phone, video or email as needed.
Meet deadlines, manage multiple returns, and maintain confidentiality of client information.
Optional: Attend periodic team check-ins/training sessions (remote).
Qualifications & Experience
3-5 years of tax preparation experience (individual returns preferred).
Proficiency with tax preparation software — UltraTax experience strongly preferred.
Strong understanding of federal and state tax laws, regulations, and deadlines.
Excellent organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to work independently.
Strong communication skills (client interactions, remote teamwork).
Reliable home office setup and ability to work remotely if applicable.
Must be eligible for W-2 employment (not purely contract/freelance).
Preference given to candidates who can commit for the full tax season.
