We are seeking a detail-oriented Plant Analyst to join our finance team at our Dayton manufacturing facility. The candidate will analyze material costs, conduct financial and margin analysis, support budgeting and forecasting, and ensure cost control. This role is vital for operational efficiency and profitability, working closely with manufacturing, supply chain, and leadership teams. Key Responsibilities: Cost of Materials Analysis Calculate and monitor raw material and component costs Analyze purchase price variances and trends Collaborate with procurement to manage supplier costs and identify savings Cost Accounting Maintain and update standard costs in GrowthPower & SAP ERP Analyze variances and report drivers to management Support inventory counts and ensure accurate valuation Financial & Margin Analysis Perform monthly gross margin analysis Analyze production costs and recommend optimizations Prepare variance reports for leadership Forecasting & Budgeting Lead plant budget and forecast creation Coordinate with departments on planning Monitor performance against budgets and explain variances Cost Control & Efficiency Projects Identify and track cost-saving initiatives Analyze ROI of projects Support continuous improvement with financial insights Financial Reporting & Support Provide financial dashboards to management Assist with month-end closing processes Ensure compliance with controls and audits Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or related Strong Excel and data analysis skills; experience with SAP Understanding of manufacturing, cost accounting, and inventory management Ability to work independently, prioritize, and communicate effectively This description may evolve; duties can change at any time.
