Job Title: Marketing & Social Media Assistant (On-Site, Baltimore Area)

Location: Baltimore, MD (in-office / hybrid)
Reports to: CEO / Founder
Brands Supported: Timber Industries & iEvolve Consulting

Timber Industries and iEvolve Consulting are growing companies focused on premium historic renovation, commercial construction, and consulting / service solutions. We need someone sharp, creative, and proactive to help scale both brands through social media, branding, and promotional support. This is an in-person role so we can collaborate closely on content, strategy, and execution.

Role Summary / Purpose

You’ll be the engine behind our social presence, brand partnerships, content, and marketing support. Your goal: grow awareness, engagement, and funnel leads for both brands. You’ll also support our sales team by managing swag, produce marketing assets, help with brand deals behind the scenes, and keep all our digital links, content calendars, and brand voice coordinated.

Key Responsibilities

Social Media & Content Management

  • Create, schedule, post, and optimize content across platforms (Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, etc.) for both Timber and iEvolve
  • Monitor and respond to DMs, comments; build engagement and community
  • Curate / repurpose content (e.g. turn blog posts or long-form content into snippets, graphics, Reels, etc.)
  • Maintain content calendar, plan campaigns, coordinate with any external creators / photographers
  • Track social metrics, analyze engagement, suggest improvements

Brand Deals & Influencer / Partnership Management

  • Research, outreach, and negotiation of brand partnerships or collaborations
  • Manage deliverables, timelines, contracts, payments, reporting for brand deals
  • Ensure brand alignments and consistency across both entities

Link & Digital Asset Management

  • Oversee link management (link-in-bio tools, UTM links, landing pages)
  • Maintain organized asset library: images, video files, templates, brand guidelines
  • Coordinate with web/tech resources when links, landing pages, or site elements need updates

Promotional / Swag & Marketing Support

  • Order, manage, and distribute promotional materials and branded merchandise (swag, brochures, banners)
  • Coordinate with vendors / printers / fulfillment
  • Support sales teams with marketing materials, leave-behinds, collateral

Administrative & Strategic Support

  • Assist in marketing strategy, ideation, campaign planning
  • Track budget / expenses for marketing, promotions, partnerships
  • Provide regular reporting on social, campaign performance, ROI
  • Help with local content capture: accompany on site, photo / video shoots, capture behind-the-scenes content
  • Be proactive: suggest content ideas, local opportunities, community events, cross-promotions

Skills, Personality & Qualifications

Must Have:

  • 2+ years experience in social media / digital marketing role (or equivalent)
  • Strong writing, editing, and communication skills
  • Familiarity with social tools (schedulers, analytics dashboards, Canva / graphic software)
  • Organized, detail-oriented, ability to manage multiple brands / priorities
  • Proactive self-starter who doesn’t wait to be told what to do
  • Ability to assist in-person: attend meetings, help with content shoots, etc.
  • Comfortable working on both brand voices & switching context

Nice to Have / Preferred:

  • Experience with brand deals or influencer marketing
  • Knowledge of the Baltimore / Annapolis / Maryland market (local audience, events)
  • Basic photography / videography / content capture skills
  • Experience with link tools (Linktree alternatives, landing pages, UTM tracking)
  • Familiarity with analytics & reporting tools

Working Conditions & Logistics

  • This is a hybrid in-person role . You’ll spend most workdays in-office (or in the field for content). Some flexible remote work may be allowed but core work should occur in person.
  • Must be located in or willing to commute to the Baltimore / MD area.
  • Occasional offsite content shoot or local travel (within MD) may be required.
  • Salary + benefits (to be negotiated) based on experience.
