** Position Title: ** Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary – Litigation Real Estate
** Location: ** Houston Galleria Area (In-Office)
** Compensation: ** Up to $80,000 + Bonus (DOE)

** Overview **

A well-established and expanding law firm in the Houston Galleria area is seeking an experienced Legal Assistant / Legal Secretary to support its litigation team in their real estate practice area. This is a blended role. This in-office position was created due to growth and is ideal for a professional who understands the litigation case process and thrives in a fast-paced, high-volume legal environment. Prior real estate experience is not required.

** Key Responsibilities **

• Support attorneys throughout all phases of litigation.
• Draft, proofread, and format pleadings, motions, discovery, and correspondence.
• Handle e-filing with state and federal courts and ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural rules.
• Manage and maintain both electronic and hard-copy case files.
• Accurately calendar hearings, deadlines, depositions, and court appearances.
• Coordinate scheduling with courts, clients, and opposing counsel.
• Prepare exhibits, binders, and materials for hearings, depositions, and trials.
• Communicate professionally with clients, court personnel, and opposing counsel.
• Assist with billing, time entry, and general administrative support.

** Qualifications **

• 3+ years of experience as a Legal Assistant or Legal Secretary in a litigation practice.
• Strong understanding of litigation procedures, e-filing, and calendaring.
• Proven ability to manage a high-volume caseload in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience maintaining both electronic and physical legal files.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal case management software.
• Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and reliability.
• Professional communication skills and a team-oriented approach.
• Excellent tenure in a must
