English Teacher | American Curriculum School in Dubai | TAX FREE income + Benefits

Calling all qualified and experienced English teachers that have knowledge of the USA curriculum. I am seeking someone that is passionate and well experienced to deliver excellent quality of education to high school students in Dubai.

My client is a school located about 35 minutes from the centre of Dubai and is purpose built in a growing part of Dubai where there is an increase in residential status. The school has a very warm and friendly vibe upon arrival and students are very nice and keen to learn.

As a Teacher of English you will be expected to:

**Plan and deliver highly engaging lesson of English (American)

**Create resources to promote the teaching and learning of English

**Ensure you are on top your marking and assessment

**Differentiate your lesson to meet the needs of your learners

**Create engaging wall displays to promote English

**Have excellent classroom management skills

**Carry out lunchtime duty

**Attend school trips

**Attend and contribute to the staff briefing

**Report to the English Head of Department

**Be a good team player and be able to work independently 

**Prepare and deliver homework

As the school has a variety of international students, you will find that English is not the first language and so if you have experience delivering English to non-native speakers this is beneficial to your application.  Students which require additional support are given are given IEP's to ensure they are catered for.  Students are evaluated using the iPT English Proficiency Test to determine their level and the school focuses on reading, writing, listening and speaking.

English Language Development  is designed to focus on the following areas: Phonology, Morphology, Syntax, Semantics, Language functions and 

Pragmatics

Requirements to apply

**Degree in English or equivalent (MANDATORY)

**A valid state teaching license in English

**Ideally 2 years of teaching experience

**Western-trained

**A high command of written and spoken English

**Tech savvy

**Up to date with modern pedagogy and training

Minimum Application Requirements

Qualification:

Minimum Qualification Requirement: M.Ed, B.Ed or a relevant Bachelor's Degree with a Teaching Qualification

Experience:

2 Years

Must be western trained (USA, Canada, UK, Scotland, Ireland, Australia, New Zealand & South Africa)

Must be a native speaker of English

Newly Qualified Teachers are NOT considered

Prefer candidates with international experience

Open University qualification(s) are NOT accepted

Experienced teachers with no qualification are NOT accepted

Additional:

**Experience of teaching in the Middle East is beneficial to your application
**Experience of the USA Curriculum is MANDATORY

Remuneration Package

Salary Range:

A salary from 9000 up to 12000  AED (UAE Dirham)per month based on experience and qualification, TAX FREE

Housing:

Based on application  fully furnished Housing provided

Flights:

Flight(s) provided annual flights are provided for the teacher

Bereavement Leave:

Bereavement leave given

Emergency Evacuation:

Emergency evacuation given

Gratuity Amount:

Gratuity Amount of the end of service bonus pay is 3 weeks per annum completed and paid at the end of the contract is provided

Contract Length:

2 years contract renewable on mutual agreement
