The District Fleet Manager oversees the maintenance and operation of heavy trucks and equipment to ensure safety, reliability, and cost-effective performance. They manage maintenance managers and technicians, coordinate fleet evaluations, and ensure compliance with corporate standards and safety regulations. The role includes budget assistance, staff training and development, and ensuring operational efficiency within the assigned district.
Preferred Skills and Experience: Strong leadership experience, preferably managing technicians / mechanics; experience managing leaders is a plus; landfill / waste industry experience is a plus. Strong technical knowledge and hands on experience with maintenance and repair of heavy trucks and/or heavy equipment / yellow iron. Proficient with Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook.
