Job Description

Position Summary

Klosh Group is hiring a proven AEC Business Development (BD) Leader who already knows how work gets won — not in theory, but in practice.

This role is for someone who brings relationships, market instinct, and energy into the firm on day one. Someone who knows which owners are gearing up for capital programs, which architects influence early decisions, and how trust actually converts into opportunity.

If you need inbound leads, a script, or a brand to do the selling for you — this won’t be a fit.

If you want to own a market, build momentum, and help shape a firm’s growth engine — keep reading.

What You Will Own

You will be responsible for building and converting a qualified pipeline across targeted Pacific Northwest and Mountain West markets, with a clear expectation of $1.5M+ in annual booked revenue sourced directly from your established relationships or newly formed relationships and pursuits, and to a lesser extent - expanding the scope of our existing relationships.

What Winning Looks Like

• $1.5M+ in annual revenue sourced and closed through your relationships

• A visible, qualified pipeline across 2–3 owned markets or sectors

• Klosh Group invited into conversations before RFQs hit the street

• Repeat work and referrals from trusted partners

• Improved pursuit discipline and win rates

Apply directly by sending your resume to: careers@kloshgroup.com

Key Responsibilities

Business Development & Relationship Ownership

  • Originate, pursue, and close new client relationships
  • Own the full BD lifecycle
  • Build trusted relationships with owners, developers, architects, contractors, and agencies
  • Position Klosh Group’s Owner’s Representative expertise across delivery models
  • Bring leadership into pursuits at the right moment

Market Intelligence & Strategy

  • Identify early demand signals
  • Track capital programs and funding cycles
  • Provide actionable market insight
  • Shape go-to-market strategy

Growth Enablement

  • Support RFQ/RFP pursuits
  • Meet quarterly target expectations
  • Maintain pipeline visibility and CRM discipline

Strategic Growth Support

  • Partner with leadership to inform annual revenue goals, target pursuits, and long-term strategic growth plans.
  • Contribute to marketing and brand-building initiatives including case studies, website content, messaging, and promotional materials.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline reporting and CRM hygiene (Zoho), ensuring visibility into BD activity, forecasting, trends, and conversion rates.
  • Provide insight into market trends, competitor activity, client sentiment, and utilization-based ecosystem dynamics.
  • You will not have a team to manage, but we do have awesome people for you to work with, who will support you!

Who Thrives At Klosh Group

  • You bring energy into rooms
  • You already know where to hunt
  • You value long-term reputation
  • You want ownership and accountability

Why This Role Is Different

Klosh Group is built on judgment, trust, and execution — not volume selling. This role offers direct access to leadership and the runway to build a market.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • 5–7+ years of business development, client relations, or senior sales experience in construction, architecture, engineering, real estate development, or related professional services
  • Proven track record of winning and securing work in the AEC or Owner’s Rep industry
  • Strong understanding of project delivery methods (CMGC, Design-Build, Lump Sum) and how services are sold in the built environment.
  • Existing network of client, partner, and industry relationships across the Pacific Northwest strongly preferred.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, negotiation, and presentation skills.
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with the ability to work independently, travel regionally, and manage multiple priorities.
  • Proficient with CRM platforms (Zoho preferred), Microsoft Office, and basic data research/analysis tools.

Preferred Markets / Sector Experience

  • Hi-Tech & Advanced Manufacturing
  • Civic / Government
  • K-12 / Higher Education
  • Healthcare
  • Infrastructure / Public Works
  • Technology / Life Sciences
  • Commercial / Mixed-Use
