Data Center Technician

Glendale, Wisconsin

Contract-to-Direct | Full Time

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Data Center Technician to join our team in Glendale, WI. In this role, you will be responsible for coordinating and executing both planned and emergency maintenance events to ensure the reliability of critical systems. You will interpret and fulfill MACD (Move, Add, Change, Delete/Disconnection) requests, and you must have hands-on experience with racking and cabling network devices.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform and coordinate planned/emergency maintenance for cooling, power, security, and building management systems.
• Lead and support data center services teams; collaborate with architecture teams on capacity, engineering, and infrastructure projects.
• Apply ITIL, PMP, LEAN/Six Sigma, and 5S principles to improve operational efficiency.
• Ensure compliance with safety regulations and company policies.
• Schedule and oversee infrastructure maintenance to maintain high availability and reliability.
• Staff and resource site operations effectively; minimize environmental impact of services.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience in data center operations or a similar role (5+ years preferred).
• Strong customer-facing skills with excellent verbal communication.
• Hands-on technical expertise in electrical/mechanical systems and network cabling.

Education

• High school diploma/GED with 2+ years of relevant experience, Associate’s degree, or Bachelor’s degree.

Preferred Certifications

• IAITAM or equivalent certifications.
