About the Role
The Company is seeking a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join a dynamic scale-up. This role is pivotal in steering the financial strategy and operations of the company. The successful CFO will partner with the CEO to develop both short and long-term strategies, interact with VC investors and Board Members, and lead the end-to-end fundraising process for future funding rounds. The ideal candidate will have a background in VC-backed start-ups, with a preference for experience in the renewable energy sector, and must be an excellent communicator, strategic thinker, and an expert in building and supporting finance teams. As the company is poised for significant expansion and a forthcoming Series B funding round, the CFO will be responsible for building and nurturing relationships with investors, overseeing the financial function (including FP&A, accounting, strategic finance, and capital raising), and ensuring the implementation of robust financial controls and scalable processes. The role requires a hands-on approach, with the CFO initially managing a small finance team. Experience in leading financial modeling, tax, and compliance processes, as well as a proven track record in delivering successful funding rounds, particularly in Series B and beyond, are highly valued. An MBA, CPA, or investment banking background is a plus, and the candidate should be prepared to act as a leader not only in financial matters but also in operational, legal, and people projects.
