The Boeing Company is actively seeking Associate Systems Engineers to join its Saint-Louis based Divisions/Business Units, work locations to include Hazelwood, MO, Saint Charles, MO, or Berkeley, MO.

To include but not limited to Air Dominance (AD), Phantom Works (PW), Weapons (SI&WS), Government Services (BGS), and Test & Evaluation (BT&E) divisions/business units for a broad portfolio of products including Fighters (F-15 & F/A-18), T-7A Trainers, MQ-25, F-47, Precision Engagement Systems (JDAM, SDB, etc.), Government Services (F-22, P-8, Vertical Lift, Apache, Support Equipment, Trainers), and more.

Position Responsibilities:

  • Understand and apply job practices, techniques, standards, principles, theories, and concepts

  • Develop, document and maintain systems requirements according to customer desires and contract requirements

  • Develop statement-of-work and technical performance specifications

  • Analyze, translate and implement requirements into system architecture, hardware and software designs and interface specifications, showing traceability throughout the product lifecycle

  • Test and validate to ensure system designs meet operational and functional requirements

  • Coordination among other engineering disciplines to ensure technical rigor on IPT scope

  • Participate in technical reviews and provide feedback to ensure compliance with certification standards

  • Perform analyses for affordability, safety, reliability, maintainability, testability, human systems integration, survivability, vulnerability, susceptibility, system security, regulatory, certification, product assurance, and other specialties' quality factors into a preferred configuration to ensure mission success

  • Support the planning, organization, implementation, and monitoring of requirements management processes, tools, risks, issues, and opportunities (RIO) managements, and technology readiness assessment processes

This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at one of the listed location options .

Travel may be required; Domestically and/or Internationally depending on business needs.

This position requires the ability to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance for which the U.S. Government requires U.S. Citizenship.

  • A final U.S. Secret or Top Secret Clearance Post-Start is required

  • Special Program Access or other Government Access Requirements may be required for these positions

Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):

  • Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science

  • 2+ years of engineering experience with a Bachelor’s or engineering experience with a Master’s
  • Currently reside in St. Louis, Missouri region or willing to relocate to the St. Louis, Missouri region

Preferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):

  • 1+ year of systems engineering, systems integration, and/or software engineering experience (including but not limited to):

    • Model Based Systems Engineering (MBSE), SysML, MSOSA, Cameo, and/or DOORS

    • Development or Management of System Requirements, Requirement Verification, and/or Testing

    • Airplane or system integration (avionics systems, platform systems)

    • Software, Scripting, and/or Computer Science proficiency (Cadece/Pspice, Python, C#, JavaScript, Visual Studio, Subversion, Azure DevOps, Git, Matlab, Simulink)

    • Reliability Engineering, Maintainability Engineering, or System Health Management

    • Operations Analysis, Modeling and Simulation, Statistics, or Data Analytics

    • Human Factors Engineering or Human Systems Integration

  • Active U.S. Security Clearance

  • Experience in the Aerospace Industry

  • Experience using good communication, analytical, and organizational skills and be able to work in a team environment

  • Experience creating, developing, and/or maintaining engineering processes

  • Experience with systems designs or test based on requirements

  • Strong knowledge of data structures, system design, and architecture

Typical Education/Experience:

Education/experience typically acquired through advanced technical education from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology (includes manufacturing engineering technology), computer science, engineering data science, mathematics, physics or chemistry (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 2 or more years’ related work experience or an equivalent combination of technical education and experience or non-US equivalent qualifications. In the USA, ABET accreditation is the preferred, although not required, accreditation standard.

Summary pay range: $81,600 - $110,400
