We are looking for an experienced Accounts Payable Specialist to join our team in Phoenix, Arizona. This is a long-term contract position for someone who is skilled in managing accounts payable processes, ensuring accuracy, and maintaining efficient workflows. Responsibilities:
• Process accounts payable transactions with precision, including coding invoices and managing account coding.
• Utilize AP automation tools such as AvidExchange and Yardi to streamline workflows and enhance efficiency.
• Handle expense reporting and ensure compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Perform check runs and Automated Clearing House (ACH) payments to meet deadlines.
• Provide support and expertise in accounts payable while collaborating with team members to resolve discrepancies.
• Maintain accurate financial records and documentation for audit purposes.
• Monitor vendor accounts and address payment inquiries promptly.
• Ensure adherence to internal controls and accounting standards.
• Assist with process improvements and system enhancements to optimize AP functions.
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and vendors to build strong, detail-oriented relationships.• Proven experience in accounts payable roles, including coding invoices and account coding.
• Proficiency in AP automation tools such as Yardi and AvidExchange.
• Familiarity with payment processes, including ACH and check runs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to maintain accurate financial records.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks efficiently.
• Effective communication skills for interacting with vendors and internal teams.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a detail-oriented environment.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and practices relevant to accounts payable.
